Robert Anton is back with a funky follow-up to his inspirational Christmas CD. Yes, this prolific writer and iconic performer is again showing his versatility by bringing you more to dance to and more reasons to get your groove on.

From the heart and soul of an artist comes joyful sounds to make you tap your feet and bob your head. Starting with the memory-evoking ‘Dancin All Night’ to the laid back lounge feel of ‘Lieblings Herr’; you’ll find your toes tapping, your fingers snapping, your pulse racing, and your heart sighing. Why? This brother has a voice that could melt chocolate and a sound all his own.

“I wrote these songs because I felt them in my soul”. Amen brother. We can feel it too. The CD is called ‘Insane’ and the title track is just that: a journey through the mind of a man who has given over his heart and soul, and his very being, to love. Love will lead you places, and Robert is anxious to take you on the journey. From beginning to end, it’s a celebration of all things human and divine.

Artist bio:

Robert Anton is a singer/songwriter/actor and has been “singing since he was a thought”, or so his grandmother would tell you; and she should know. He grew up singing with choirs, quartets, and soloists at the pentecostal church where his grandma was the pastor.

Not only did this instill in him a deep spiritual love of music and performing; it also gave him the courage to find his true calling at an early age. By the time Robert was a pre-teen, he knew he wanted to sing for his supper. Consequently he went on to study music at the Cleveland School of Arts and Baldwin-Wallace College; then he moved to Chicago and finally New York City to pursue his dream.

Once in New York, Robert quickly began performing in any venue available and landed his first big tour doing his favorite show, “Dreamgirls” with Miki Howard and other noted performers. Since then, he has toured and performed in over 10 countries and 150 cities in various shows and with headlining performers like Miki, Vanessa Bell-Armstrong, Altrina Grayson, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Corey Reynolds, Lisa Nicole Carson, and more. Robert was also seen as a finalist on ‘It’s Showtime At the Apollo’ with Steve Harvey.

Currently Robert is promoting and celebrating his own releases through his company, playAnton productions. He’s released 3 CDs of original songs and has been performing and selling that material throughout the tri-state area and, internationally, via the internet. Robert also has current and pending songs on several compilation CDs in Germany, France, and South Africa.

    This is a good album. Modern sounding, yet with an old school feel. I bought it with the expectation of it being a house album. Though there are house tracks on there, there are also some nice soul tracks on there also. My favourite tracks however are the house tracks. Robert's voice is perfect for soulful house. Good album in all.

    I listened to this CD from beginning to end and enjoyed every minute of it. Robert gets the party started right off the bat with "All Night." And the title track is HOT. I like the way he mixes it up with different styles and beats. I even liked the house tracks--and I'm not a big house fan. This guy is headed for the big time: remember you heard it from me first.

My personal favorites are INSANE and DANCIN ALL NIGHT, but HEY (The Diamond Dance) and COMO SE DICE will have you stumping your feet, grooving to the beat and even singing the chorus. DIRTY BLUES is an interesting and welcome suprise along with the Euro-German influence of LIEBLINGS HERR.
