It began in 1998, when four guys from Denver started playing music together. They were old high school friends, sharing common interests in music, running rivers, backpacking and the like. In a few short years they emerged from their humble beginnings, playing basements and college keggers, to becoming one of Denver's hottest up and coming bands.
River is:
Joel Van Horne - Electric guitar, lead vocals
Jason Schulten - Acoustic guitar, vocals
Ryan Fechter - Electric and acoustic bass, vocals
Scott Weidner - Drums, vocals
In addition to its' core members, on any given night River is known to share the stage with many local musicians including horn players and keyboardists, etc.

Excellent disc, killer opening track
author: fRob StuehrkHeard THAT FILTHY PEST on The Mountain and was hooked. A killer disc and for a first effort (I think) it's pretty impressive. Abit of a Freddy Jones Band style with a lot more funk. Highly recommended. Want to see these guys live SOON!
