notes

Ritchie Hernandez has been playing guitar for over 25 years and has had many varied influences. Starting with his father who was an in-demand musician in Mexico during the '30s and '40's, to other musicians such as Carlos Santana, Craig Chaquicco (formerly of Jefferson Starship)and Neal Schon (former Journey guitarist) to name a few. Ritchie enjoys playing varied styles of music and is easily inspired by whatever energy is prevelant in the location he happens to be at. His passion is to pursue and capture the very spirit of life that lies within the music. To touch the heart, soul and mind of any individual who comes across his musical creations and know that this music is truly the celebration of life and is meant to lift the soul high into the air as if on the wings of an eagle.

Ritchie was also the featured artist interviewed on the Yavapai College podcast, www.ycpodcast.com originating from their campus in Prescott, Arizona. He got to discuss his early musical influences as well as shedding some light concerning the source of inspiration for his music. He is also a contributing artist on the PodSafe network which features the music of independent artists. Podcast which have featured Ritchie's music have originated from: The Netherlands, Japan, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and several within the U.S. A link has been provided in which anyone visiting this CD Baby site can click on it and it will take them right to Ritchie's artist page.

After having an incredibly stressful day...and with a long drive before getting home...I played this CD for the duration of the drive. By the time I got home all was well with the world. I bought 2 more CD's for my brother and my dad...glad to have come across this artist.

I work in an assisted care facility and this CD showed up at work. The music had such a calming effect that a majority of the residents fell peacefully asleep. Needless to say...we play this CD everynight just before bedtime. A special thanks to this artist for creating such special music.

  • Just what I needed while driving.
    author: AJ of Boston

I work a high pressure job and having something like this to listen to while driving to and from work is just perfect. I find myself humming some of the tunes while grocery shopping. It definitely does what the artist intended it to do.
