Be prepared to join Ripped on the greatest adventure ever !! A feature film, written by Moody, that tells the story of a young traveller on the search to enlightenment . Set in a modern age and delivering the new music of Ripped, this story will be a delight and eye opener to all. There is a new awareness dawning in the world and we are all waking up to a fresh reality .... one where people are ready to conquer themselves and discover their unlimited possibilities !
Ripped are currently writing and recording the songs for their next CD and first feature film ! They are once again joined with Producer, Ashton Price (Blow Your Mind), and their new manager, Mike Puskas of Dead Famous Artists & Astral Records.
Since their debut Album “Bloodshot” (Sextant, EMI) in 2002 with James Stewart ( The Cult) and Mike Hanson (Glass Tiger), Ripped have enjoyed great success in spreading their music through out the world and gaining great recognition for their unique sound and songwriting.
Their follow up “Blow your Mind” (Sextant, Koch) in 2005 took them to a new level of worldwide recognition and their music has spread like wildfire. Ashton Price (Producer) shared his brilliant talent of creating a complete sound that broke through all the mediocrity of today’s music and was complimented by the mixing of industry veteran Dave Rave Ogilvie (Bowie, NIN, Manson)
Now with 6 music videos, 2 making of documentaries, 5 singles and many other nominations and awards for their achievements in music, Ripped are ready to conquer new territory and will set the bar higher for all those that follow.
A few personal words about the band and their thoughts ....
Ripped have always been a band of focus and intent. Their music is carefully thought out and created with a higher purpose. Melody and harmonies fill this alternative/new rock music with driving rhythms and catchy guitar riffs.
What is important to Ripped ? Lyrics must search inside one’s self for knowledge and wisdom. They don’t hate or love the world .... they just try to understand it and gain some truth from it. Music must be melodic and produced with a unique, identifiable sound.
Thank you for joining Ripped on their journey ....

author: KárolyA zene dinamikája, hangzás világa magával ragadó. Attól jobb érzés kevés van mikor az ember halgat egy számot és a hátán végig fut az a kellemes bozongás. Mikor egy szám magával ragad. Mikor halottam előszőr a "Show Me" cím számot hát ez az érzés lett rajtam úrrá. És akár hányszol halgatom meg mindig ugyan az az érzés kerít hatalmába. EGY SZÓVAL FULL GOOD MUSIC!!!! Remélem sok hasonló Nóta születik még tőletek! És rendbe jönnek a zenekar tag hiányosságai! NA CSUMI MINDENKINEK!!! CSAK ÍGY TOVÁBB TILL & RIPPED!!!!!

Gave their latest CD a listen while driving back to North Bay from the Soo. Only time in my life where I've listened to the same CD for six hours....Couldn't get enough!! Some of the tightest,razor-edged rock on the planet.Give the CD a listen, better yet; catch them live.In a world of music pirating you'll want to buy the CD just to be able to show your friends you actually own one! Mr. Crow...it was worth the drive.
I love the sound of Blow Your Mind!
author: Randy Greengrass - producer of "Notes and Hopes"I love the sound of BLOW YOUR MIND all of the tracks are well written and thought out and the cover of Call me sounds like it could be their own. Moody's guitar work is exceptional, Attila's bass playing blends so wonderfully, and Sandi's vocals are hauntingly beautiful. Randy Greengrass Notes & Hopes producer

A consistently solid effort full of infectious hooks and energy!!
author: Joshua HeinrichOntario's Ripped have made a name for themselves in their home country, having worked with several notable producers and gained media attention with their 2002 debut. On Blow Your Mind, the band's sophomore effort, they bring an electronic-infused, poppy alt rock formula that recalls, to some extent, bands like Garbage, No Doubt, and, perhaps, Elastica. There are also notable shades of Veruca Salt and Lush in the band's stylistic approach, melodies, and, in particular, vocalist Sandra Olender's timbre, inflections, and layered vocal work. While a bit short at just a few minutes over half an hour, the well produced album is certainly spectacular, a consistently solid effort full of infectious hooks and energy. Unlike most bands, Ripped are, refreshingly, not intent on playing the "we covered a popular 80s hit" card, their slightly darker and, admittedly, remarkably well-done take on Blondie's "Call Me" fitting in nicely but acting more as an album track than a central highlight. Things kick off nicely with the dynamic, energetic rocker, "Anodyne", followed by one of the disc's biggest standouts, the radio-friendly, somewhat Garbage-esque single "Show Me", its killer guitar hooks and punchy stilted rhythms notably mixed by Dave "Rave" Ogilvie. "Daily Ritual" is an excellent 2-and-a-half-minute burst of up-tempo energy, while the nice mellow rock ballad "Eternal" could almost pass for a long lost outtake from Lush's Lovelife album. "Waiting for the Night", conversely, is an almost bubbly affair, balancing lighter verses with a downright bouncy chorus complete with "awoo"s. The darker and exceptionally melodic "Afterglow", the second 2-and-a-half-minute outing here, features one of the disc's best chorus hooks before the bass-driven "Second Chance" chimes in, a plodding, pop-oriented alt rocker. The upbeat alternapop of "Not Dead Yet" and the slower, low-key melodic rock of "Breathe" nicely finish the set. When an album's biggest flaw is that it leaves you wanting more, it's usually safe to say it's reasonably impressive. Such is the case here, the disc's length made up for with an excellent filler-free 10-song set. Likely to have both mainstream and underground appeal and containing a number of infectious radio-friendly standouts, Ripped's Blow Your Mind is a great album that will probably garner quite a bit of attention.
addictive beats and smashing harmonies!!
author: Chris WhiteThe band kicks open the door of their 10-track album with my favourite Ripped song, their opener "Anodyne". This song has an addictive beat that I can't get enough of. "Anodyne" bridges into smashing harmonies "I would like a sign... Can you read my mind... Slip in anodyne you'll find... All your pain is left behind". Fans of Garbage and INXS will appreciate what this song is all about. "Anodyne" is 3-and-a-half-minutes of high energy all the way with Sandi's amazing vocals in addition to awesome guitar, bass, and drums. Hands down, one of the best arrangements I've heard in years. "Show Me" is a fun little number that I'm sure has a tongue-in-cheek reference. Up next is the toe-tapping "A Daily Ritual" packed full of slick guitar riffs and pulsating percussion. Ripped's claim-to-fame may be the best damn cover I've ever heard of "Call Me" by Blondie. Sandi has captured the essence of this 80's megahit and ignited it with electricity and her sensual vocals. The accompanying music video has over the top production value; it's pure brilliance. The video is shot dark bordering on gothic but be assured this is not your older brother or sister's "Call Me". This baby blasts off harder than an industrial size bottle of Viagra®; You just might start humping the seat you are on while listening to this sexy gem so please listen with caution while riding public transit. Ripped slows down the pace a notch with the heart riveting "Eternal". "Waiting for the Night" is a guitar driven rock anthem; it's as refreshing as a breeze coming off the lake yet reassuringly familiar as New Wave. The lyrics in both these song are great. "Afterglow" is a haunting selection from Blow Your Mind. Sandi's versatile vocal range is highly rewarded in this extraordinary song. It blends beautifully into the next song "Second Change". Listening to these fine tracks back-to-back is as magical as the era when concept albums would fill your record collection (no skipping tracks, the way it was intended by the recording artist). Get on the dance floor and enjoy "Not Dead Yet". This bouncy number could easily be heard on any Canadian Alt-Rock or Hot AC station who cares to pick it up. The album closes with "Breathe", another lyrical and instrumental experience that captures the best from lead singer Sandi Olender. Ripped is fully loaded when it comes to their music and how they become an extension of their recording environment. Many bands go in to the studio to lay down tracks and hope for the best from their engineers. Ripped is more than a band, they are the music. The overall mixing and mastering of Blow Your Mind is polished from front to back. Dave "Rave" Ogilvie (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, David Bowie, Skinny Puppy) and Dan Brodbeck (The Salads, Jersey, Delores O'Riodan) did the mixing for the singles "Show Me" , "Anodyne" & "A Daily Ritual". As of the summer of 2005, Ripped has become instant playlist add-ons at numerous internet radio stations worldwide. You can find Blow Your Mind at HMV, Sunrise Records and Music World across Canada and many other stores as well. Money well spent.
