RICK SHARP, A Superb Entertainer & Guitar Man!
Born in Emmett, Idaho Rick came into this world landing right in the middle of a houseful of talented music performers. It was there he began his recording career on the family's old reel-to reel recorder at age three,"Once music gets in your blood, it's there for life!", says Rick.
At age 10, he played his first gig on a plastic futaphone in Oklahoma where his family had moved and it was there at a local jam that he caught the "guitar bug" when another musician stuck a Stratocaster in his hand. He soon got himself a Silvertone Hornet and made the change to guitar that day and never looked back.
Rick continued performing with bands with the guidance of his father Ted who is also an accomplished musician and band leader, and by age
14 Rick was considered by many to be a very accomplished guitar player and his superb playing made him the major player in his dad's band, "Ted Sharp and The String Busters".
After a while Rick decided to strike out on his own by taking his music to the road. He initially began playing throughout Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas at all kinds of venues and then joined a band in Nashville, TN. "The Bandits" which turned out to be a move that allowed him to tour most of the 48 states. His name and accomplishments were growing and as fate would have it, he developed his now famous "Outlaw" style that his fans have grown to love today!
Rick landed some dates in the legendary "Reo Palm Isle" in Longview, Texas which gave him the opportunity to open shows for such greats as, Mel Tillis, Keith Whitley, Willie Nelson, Rick Van Shelton, Johnny Rodriquez, David Frizzell, Freddie Fender & Rodney Crowell. It was during this time he developed into the star he truly is today reaching the realm of excellence.
Rick now calls the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Eastern Tennessee home and is continually performing his now famous tribute to Waylon Jennings in Pigeon Forge as well as venues all across the country and He has also become very popular in Europe.
Universal Sound Records has recorded this great new album by Rick at their Nashville studios, "Like the pro Rick is, he stepped up to the mic and gave a brilliant performance on every song! This is a great CD that country music lovers will truely enjoy over and over." Rick devotes his life and music to his family , and friends around the world be sure to visit his website for upcoming live performances at:

Play On Rick!
author: GarenThis is certainly Rick's best work. It showcases his immense talent and musical versatility. I've been trying to pick a favorite song from the album, but there are so many good ones, it's hard to choose. His voice is made for this music. I think there will be a lot of radio time for this album.
