Hailing originally from Minnesota, Rick has resided among the Californians for 35 years.
He began writing songs at age 17 but looks back on those efforts now as “mostly mush”. Though he finds no end of growth within the church, Rick admits that “There’s not a friend I have who is not a better Christian than I. So I tell what truth I have and leave it at that.”
By vocation, Rick is a drug counselor which, as was heard in group recently, "is not about this or that; it's all about God".
Rick has been married to Charlene for 21 years. They have two sons, Carl and Daniel, neither of whom believe in golden gophers.

author: Kathy WikmanI wish I could pick out one song on this tape that I like best --- they are all so different in "flavor" yet equally appealing. "The Handmaid's Consent" does speak to my faith and touches me, but gosh, I also love singing along with "The Bible." As a drug and alcohol counselor, I can appreciate the grace of smelling alcohol in the book of James, and as for my own addiction, I'm sure there's chocolate "in downtown Phillipi." The songs on this CD remind me of the wonderful adventure and mystery of my own faith walk. Thanks so much. I'm waiting for album # 2. God bless.

author: CharleneWhen I listen to "Remember Me" I am reminded of the sinner on the cross next to Jesus asking our Lord for forgiveness. The song calls me to remember the Lord in my life. It's one of my favorites!
Inspirational and easy listening
