notes

***Hi everyone! Regarding the CD's of all my projects: I have no more plans to reduplicate them. They will always be downloadable. But... if you want the "physical CD", there are a few left of each.
Thank you for all your support through the years!~Richard

Reminisce:
to recollect and tell of past experiences or events...

Growing up, we all have some kind of special memories that we revisit on occasion. Just like an old familiar friend you haven't seen in awhile. Memories, “little treasures", those special moments that no one can ever take away from you. Something almost magical, that strings back to our earliest childhood recollections and follows us up to the ever-present. And in those few milliseconds we feel a longing. I guess you'd call it nostalgia.

Those memories are like “landmarks" in your life. They can be anything that triggers the five or six senses. A smell, a sunset, a laugh, a remark someone made.

For me personally, it’s a song. You know that song I'm talking about....the one when you hear it... you immediately recall that moment where you were the first time you ever heard it...and fell in love with it....

reminisce~ gave me the opportunity to sit at the piano and revisit some “old friends” and catch up with them...

About the artist:
Grew up in Hollywood, son of an actress, lived four blocks from Universal Studios and had a love for film music even then. Been playing piano since three and a half. I studied classical music for nine years with retired Dean of the Music Department of the University Of Utah, Thomas Giles (my next door neighbor). One year with Max Willerson (student of a student of Franz List) that almost killed me! Numerous rock bands (some almost famous!) on the Sunset Strip followed that.
I've been writing music all my life but recording solo projects since 1985. I'm also known as Douglas Trowbridge and Under The Radar. I've been fortunate enough to have had some of my work used by Daimler Mercedes-Benz in a European commercial, CBS 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano for a segment on Buddhist monks, PBS's Spanish version of "Sesame Street" continues to this day to use a song from my first album. I have song in the HBO film "Iron Jawed Angels" which played at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival. Some music featured in NBC Dateline, Secrets behind 'The Da Vinci Code' segment. The project I'm most proud of is a independent documentary film I scored on the life of Blade Runner/Tron artist, Syd Mead. Was asked to be the solo performer for the Sundance Film Festival 2008 Opening Night Gala in Salt Lake City.

This is the best piano solo CDs I own. Richard is correct about there being memories associated with each piece of music. The title says is all
