TOMORROW'S STANDARDS TODAY!
America's loudest lounge singer Richard Cheese presents the perfect mix of music, martini, and madcap. With his swanky swing band, his tiger-striped tuxedo, and his enormous microphone, Cheese sings lounge-style covers of rock/rap hits, turning everyone's favorite songs into traditional pop vocal standards. Just imagine Sinatra singing a Nirvana song, and you've got Dick.

The finger-snapping, liquor-lapping, night-capping crooner first stepped into the spotlight in 2000 with his "LOUNGE AGAINST THE MACHINE" CD. This critically acclaimed album featured "swankified" versions of alternative rock songs, such as Radiohead's "Creep" and Limp Bizkit's "Nookie," all uncensored and all unbelievably Cheesey.

Soon, Dick landed a gig as the co-host and bandleader on MTV's "Say What Karaoke" series. He was also interviewed on CNN, profiled in the Los Angeles Times, and featured as a category on VH1's "Rock 'N' Roll Jeopardy."

In 2002, Cheese was back in blacktie with his "TUXICITY" CD, an album of alternative, rap, and pop covers, including loungey remakes of Sir Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" and Van Halen's "Hot For Teacher." Dick's popularity grew with sell-out concerts around the U.S.A., appearances on The Howard Stern show, Fox News Channel's Fox & Friends Morning Show, and a regular gig as the Vegas house band on NBC's Last Call With Carson Daly show.

Cheese returned in 2004 with his "I'D LIKE A VIRGIN" CD, an intuxicating collection of "loungified" covers of Snoop Dogg's "GIN & JUICE," Coldplay's "YELLOW," and Michael Jackson's "BEAT IT" accompanied by a children's choir. That same year, Dick appeared on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," and his cheesey version of Disturbed's song "Down With The Sickness" was featured in the Universal Motion picture DAWN OF THE DEAD.

Now, Dick presents his latest and greatest CD, "APERITIF FOR DESTRUCTION," an all-new album of kooky covers for lounge lovers. The album, released in May 2005 by Surfdog Records, features Vegas versions of songs originally by Guns 'N' Roses, U2, Black Eyed Peas, The Beastie Boys, Alanis Morissette, Metallica, Alice In Chains, Slipknot, and many more. Backed by a big band and a bigger sound, this is the biggest Dick ever! From 2 Live Crew's "Me So Horny" to Green Day's "American Idiot," Richard Cheese serves up a "fromage homage" to the hottest hits in music.

The hardest working Dick in show business has performed sellout concerts all over the world, from Las Vegas to London, from New York to New Orleans, from Portland to Portugal, from Honolulu to Hollywood. Cheese has made tour appearances with The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Blink182, Lit, Dread Zeppelin, SuperDiamond, and Fred Durst at the Playboy Mansion!

Now, after four CDs, a dozen tours, a hundred concerts, and a million martinis,
Richard Cheese has earned a prominent place in that prestigious pantheon of
lounge legends: Frank ... Sammy ... Dean .......... and Dick.

The "TUXICITY" CD is on sale on-line at cdbaby.com, iloverichardcheese.com, and is also available at the band's concerts and selected record stores nationwide.

  • Creamier than triple cheese, stinkier than stinky bishop

Quite simply, excellent. A perfect balance of taste and texture, and the screaming guitar solos - wow.

  • he brings something new to the songs

Tuxicity is amazing. Richard Cheese and Lounge Against the Machine really bring something new and interesting to their reinterpretations of fun songs. Musically, they're geniuses and is it ever funny! Holy crap, I laughed out loud. I highly recommend this CD.

If you want the best CD ever buy this one. There is nothing better than this. The best Louge act in the world. You will never get rid of this. This CD should stand the test of time.

Seriously swankified, PG-13 lounge crooner covers of some real surprising songs.. that you wouldn't expect in such a "classy" Tux-ified outfit. If you've had enough sappy, co-dependent love song Swing ("Baby, I can't live without you..") and need the kind of entertainment you can raise a glass to, this is the album for you. If you ever wondered what a foul-mouth, hip hop-lingo gangsta, pimpin' Sinatra would have sounded like, now is your chance. If Harry Connick was cool for a while but just didn't have enough sassy, "playa" edge, now's your chance to have crude, swinging, uncensored drunken fun with swing jazz vocals like you never heard 'em before. Cheese has successfully put the "ass" in crass. You'll want this one in your "Impress My Friends" stack.

  • This stuff is great!

The first time I heard one of these songs it was on the Dawn of the Dead movie. I had to hear the rest and I love them! You are awesome!

  • Love the cheese

One of the most entertaining CD's in my collection. A hit at parties. Fun on road trips. Everyone wants to borrow it...

  • Cheeesey

It's definitely Cheesey in a corny kitschy sort of lounge way, which is definitely unique and different. Very amusing the first time around; not so amusing for repeated listenings though...

  • Wow!
