notes

The Ric Blair Band’s second recording, "Break the Walls" captures the
exciting live energy of The Ric Blair Band. You’ll hear traditional Irish
instrumentals along with Ric’s stirring, Beatles influenced, original
songs. "Break the Walls" is an organic, innovative celebration featuring Ric Blair on vocals, guitar and bodhran; Patrick D’Arcy from Dublin and Eric Rigler (who has played on various movie soundtracks including Braveheart, The Titanic, Rob Roy...) on uileann pipes, Cait Reed & Lovely Previn on Celtic fiddle, Yun Blair on penny whistle, and Jeff Durham on djembe.

The second track on "Break the Walls" is a song entitled “Scotland
Ablaze” which Ric penned while staying in a flat in Arbroath,
Scotland directly across from the monastery where the first declaration of
Scottish independence was written many centuries ago. The song lyrics
speak of a glorious spiritual revival in Scotland. You won’t want to
miss this and other thought provoking, inspiring, and even sometimes
humorous songs from "Break the Walls". You can’t listen to this CD and not
feel happy!
