Bio
Rhythma is Sean Michael, born in Hollywood, California.

If you dig deep, you can hear other musical artists that may have lent their influence. Pink Floyd, U2, OMD, Led Zeppelin, Baaba Maal, Stella Chiweshe, Cocteau Twins, Jiao Gilberto, Brian Eno, all have made an impact on Sean's passion for making music.

Sean is currently playing out with his acoustic guitar and working the electronic influences into his stage performance.

Elevator Pitch
Music for the heart, mind, and spirit. Sometimes joyful and uplifting, sometimes personal and reflective, this is music that touches you and invites you to pause and listen and take something away with you. The beats are strong, the voice emotive, and the stylings creative and alive.

Instrumentation
Sean plays everything on his CD except the sax which was played by Gary Regina from Marina California. Sean plays electric and acoustic guitar, percussion, electronic drums and sequencer programming, bass, voice, keyboards, and soft synths.

  • Sean And His Guitar - Incredible!
    author: Ray Musicbear

To say Sean is a good guitar player is an understatement, he is incredible! I was truly amazed with his playing, especially on his acoustic tracks. He has a wonderful voice and some especially interesting lyrics. What more could you ask for in a CD! This CD is one of the best I've heard in some time! Deffinit YES! Great Production too! You go, Sean!

  • An impressive, deeply felt musical debut!
    author: Kevin McNeely

The anticipation was worth the wait. In his recording debut, Sean's ability to integrate instrumentation is genuinely sophisticated, and would be worthy of someone with many CDs under his belt. Sean's heartfelt singing skillfully blends with his music. Squaring One and Here I Am are particularly memorable. The CD is refreshingly real.

  • An Eclectic Collection of Moods and Emotions
    author: William Bacon

I received this CD as a gift and I have to say that the more I listen the more I like it. It is a cross section of lyrics and melodies that make me feel good as I work on art, or just sit out on the porch looking out at the expanse here where I live. It seems Spiritual and Deep to me. It make me wonder who the songs are about and makes me feel like I know the Artist on some intimate level. I hope one day to have the privilege of sitting down with the Artist and hearing some of the music live and finding out what inspired some of the work. I think that anyone who is Looking for something Spiritual and fun will enjoy this album. I know I have.

  • What a great collection of folk/electronica!
    author: Kirby Wood

The songs on this CD are right from the heart. Inspirational to folk to electronica, all masterfully produced. There's something here for everyone!

  • Soulful
    author: Bill Mason

This CD is a combination of a lot of different sounds. It's got a little bit of everything, in both instrumentation and styles. If you're not being wooed by Sean's soulful singing, then you'll be feeling the intensity of his electronic sounds, or you'll be feeling the smoothness of his finger picking. The most interesting thing is, although eclectic and mixed, it's surprisingly consistent.

  • Cool Soulful Folktronica
    author: David Beach

I really like this disc. It's adventerous, insightful, and soulful. It has a great mellow sound with some cool ecletcic instrumentation. Nice beats too.
