David "Red" Rhys-Johnson has been performing and composing on the piano since the age of 15. He has performed in concert all over the Northwest and Southwest. His love affair with the piano comes through with intense feeling and emotion. His diversity of styles sets him apart from most keyboardists. David's piano styles and influences include his own New Era music, gospel, rock, blues, jazz ballads in addition to his own energy infused new age music.
"Naked Bouquet" is a compilation of primarily original compositions. They are inspired by his connection to people and places across the US which have inspired him to create and play music which grabs the heart and soul of the listener. Living in the Puget sound area of the Northwest has greatly influenced his music. "Cloudwalker", "Emerald Bay", "Windswept", and "Carry Me Home" are examples of this influence.
David, ("Red" to his friends) is not your typical easy listening pianist. His songs exude emotion, and powerful passion yet wrapped in tender velvet stylings. "Naked Bouquet" will leave you wanting more of his music.
