notes

Rezarec was a member of the Massachusetts gospel rap group, Verbal Witness, for about 7 years. Now he has just release his debut solo CD “Voice in the Wilderness”. This CD is about standing up for God in a place where the majority doesn’t represent him fully. Just like John the Baptist himself, this CD stands out. It has something for everyone.
The Great Commission can be fulfilled through gospel rap (Matt 28:19 & 20). Why not? Satan’s commission is being fulfilled right now. People follow artists every day and go where ever they send them. I want people to follow me as I follow Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). - Reza Rec
The CD contains personal songs about Rezarec such as “Daddy” and “#2”. These songs will show you how to praise God in the midst of the hood. Rezarec was born in Brooklyn and later moved to Brockton, Mass. when he was 11-year-old. He’s had his opportunities to join gangs, sell and use drugs, and get locked up but God called him at the right time. Using rap to evangelize the word of God, Rezarec has been very successful. Many have been led to Christ through his ministry already.
He has opened for Corey Red and Precise / Disciple / Bobby Bishop / Lamar/Shekinah and others. Reza Rec has ministered at Rap Fest, Holy Hip Hop awards, Ohio showcase with Bobby Jones, Gospel Grill and local churches from Massachusetts to New York. Today, he runs the youth ministry with his wife Nicole and has a beautiful daughter named Zariah and has done all this while he is studying to be a minister.

  • Great Album, it's too bad Reza-Rec left Focus Entertainment.

I listen to 5 tracks alot. The Album was well worth my money. Reza-Rec left Focus Entertainment on March 15, 2007. I hope he's sought Jesus' guidance with this decision, and I'll be praying for Him.
