notes
-As a composer and native Floridian, it seemed only natural to write a collection of pieces inspired by the breathtaking tropical surroundings I live in: sunsets, palm trees, sand and surf.
-The music is not written in any one particular style, rather a blend of many... classical, folk, pop, Spanish and light jazz, all of which are suited to solo classical guitar.
-These pieces are not "tourist" Florida but instead, "Old Florida" where time moves at a slower pace under the spell of brilliantly warm days and steamy, sultry nights. It is a place where the inherent beauty of the earth blends with an ease of gracious living. One in which the innate rhythms of the landscape are transformed into enchanting moments of pleasure and peacefulness. I hope you will find the music evocative of many extraordinary places and times in blissful paradise.

-Willis' compositions have been called "haunting and high-energized...fun" (Sound Board Magazine) "accessible...skillful...and brilliant" (Les Cahiers de la Guitare et de la Musique) and "...very powerful..." (Classical Guitar).
