notes
Based in Richmond Virginia, the Reverb Rockets call themselves a surfabilly band for lack of a better word. The cd "Test Rocket"does have some Rockabilly and some surf but it also has some uptempo country,a bit of old style rock and roll even a little metal. One of their friends descibes them like this. "If Dave Edmunds,Dick Dale, and Jerry Jeff Walker were in rehab together and started a band,it would sound like the Reverb Rockets." - Robbin Thompson, Singer/Songwriter
"It sounds like a cat who's claws are caught in the strings of Dick Dale's Stratocaster, while a Johnny Cash record is playing in the background. Cool!" - Will Ray of the Hellacasters.
"I already knew the instrumentals would be great because I caught their live show in Richmond, VA, but a song about a fishing lure from the perspective of the fish? Brilliant!" - Mike McAdam, Guitarist for Steve Earle, Mary Chapin Carpenter
"The Reverb Rockets debut CD is long overdue solace for our surfabilly sensitivities, adding some crunchy bacon to the California Sushi Roll, twangin' heaven!" - Page Wilson, Singer/Songwriter and host of the Out of the Blue Radio Review, WCVE, Richmond, VA

Very cool... Very very cool...
author: Jonathan (Other White Meat)Opens with that nasty thrill-your-bones sound. The music AND the lyrics keep you listenin' for more...and you just smile as you listen.
Radio worthy
author: mishuCowboy's Work is better than any of the crap being played on country radio today. It made me want to buy a pair of Wranglers and learn how to line dance.
