notes
NJ indie-label FDR (Face Down Records) is proud to announce the re-release of Left of the Dial, our tribute to the legendary Minneapolis band, the Replacements. Thanks to the unbelievable support from dedicated 'Mats fans, the original pressing of this CD sold out in months with no air-play and very little advertising. Through word of mouth, some good press, and the contributing bands' never-ending DIY efforts Left of the Dial was a huge success. The CD spans the entire Replacements' catalog, from their early days as Minneapolis punks to the pop triumphs of the late 1980s. We honor the 'Mats with covers from some of America's best underground power pop/garage rock bands.
