notes
This cutting edge singer/songwriter was born in the small Midwestern town of Tiffin, OH. She began playing guitar at age ten, and joined her first rock cover band at sixteen. In 2000 she began performing as a solo acoustic artist while attending East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg, PA. Graduating from East Stroudsburg University in 2003 with a BA in theatre, Regina's stage experience has always promoted her as a solo artist was well as when she is fronting a band. Regina's influences come from a variety of artists that mix genres of Rock, Soul, Country and Jazz. She takes pride in versatility and enjoys singing to each and every member of an audience.
Regina's latest endeavor is the Regina Sayles Project. A band that includes Tom Hopke on lead guitar, Bryan Spitzer on bass, Spencer Cohen on drums and Regina on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. "Putting a band together to play my music has been such a great experience, and I am so blessed to be working with such talented musicians."
Regina released a solo EP in December of 2006 titled "It's Home." Teaming up with her brother Koil who produced and engineered the project, you will find the mix of genres a compliment to Regina's multifaceted voice.
Currently Regina is focusing on writing new material for a full length, full band album. She has a number of tracks written already, some of which she is currently playing live. The new material is projected to be recorded some time this year.
At present Regina can be found playing various clubs in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, and on occasion returning to her roots in Ohio. This year's calendar will be taking her to Virginia, and hopefully lots of other great places.

Amazing CD
author: Matthew WhitesideHaving met Regina during her time at ESU through a mutual friend, I fell in love with her voice and her stage presence immediately. She commands a stage and fills a room with her energy every time she performs. I was awestruck when I first heard this CD after purchasing it. As an aside to those of you, like me, that like ballroom dancing.....Track 3 (The First Time) is a text book international rumba...no pitching necessary...and Track 4 (Trophy) is a wonderfully fun West Coast Swing. Keep up the good work Regina and I look forward to your next musical gift to your fans.
