A great variety of bass expressions.
author: Rev. Dr. Mark C. SmithOne of my favorite CDs. The bass speaks to you. I enjoy listening to it, while I drive. The music stays with me, all through the day.
You are an amazing artist. I found the music very relaxing.
author: SamanthaI found the songs on this cd to be very relaxing, they had somewhat of a soothing quality to them. I would love to hear more from Reggie Hamilton.
We loved him at Bass Live and enjoy his CD, very soothing!!
author: Heidi SuttonIt's nice to hear a CD with just Reggie's work after all the playing he has done for other people and projects. My husband and I saw him perform at Bass Live last year in NY and love My Village. It makes me happy and very relaxed...
If you love Jazz/Fusion this is a CD for you!!
author: BassjamGreat fusion CD! It was a flash back to the classic fusion sounds of Weather Report. Would have enjoyed more had Hamilton taken a more dominant playing role a-la Marcus Miller. I purchase CDs from bass players expecting to hear a dominant bass line.

First heard Reggie playing with Bobby Lyle. Great bassist! Want to hear more in the future!!
I want more Reggie!!
author: DannyNice tunes, but I didn't feel that it really sufficiently showcased Reggie's bass playing. The album seems to feature Reggie's compositions more than his chops, and believe me, there's nothing wrong with doing so for your first leader album; I just think there's no comparison. Reggie has a long way to go as regards composition; I can tell he's been widely influenced by the many Pop artists who keep him in high demand as a bass player. Hopefully he'll give himself the opportunity to kick ass on a few standards next album he puts out.
You've got to hear it!
author: Cy NelBeen waiting for this one. No disapointment here. Bass players...CHECK IT OUT!! Very worthy of his own Fender Bass.

This CD takes me back to what I like about jazz/fusion...just cool music without a specific commercial agenda. 'My Village" is a fine artistic statement by a top notch muscian at the peak of his form...period.
Superb!
author: F.O.RealA pleasure to hear music being made for the sake of music's benefit. Great bass playing, and great musicianship all round.
Very Cool!
author: P.M.IIA collection of very cool musical statements - from the instrumental virtuosity, to the great vocal track, which sounds like voices from the bayou and beyond...who is this Lester Bowfield? A great album that hopefully will bring Mr.Hamilton even more recognition.
