Progressive fusion of blues and rock

notes

Red Rhythm was born in the summer of 2003 when guitarist Dusty Miller and drummer Terry Tsotigh, former members of the Oklahoma-based group Blues Nation, decided to take their music to another level. They began to craft their music with a new energy and style-a progressive fusion of rock and blues that would soon succeed in expressing the true nature of their musicianship.
With the addition of newcomer Dustin Miller (Dusty's son) on guitar, bass, and vocals, percussionist Bobby Heddleston, and vocalist Lacy Saunders, the driving sound that has since developed is one that preserves its roots while revealing new wings.
Dusty and Dustin are members of the Comanche tribe and consider it to be a rare privilege to be one of the few father-and-son teams in the entertainment business.
Terry, a full-blood Kiowa, is the current World Champion Southern Straight Dancer and an accomplished native flute player with a new CD entitled Prairie Rain.
Bobby Heddleston, a Cherokee, was born and raised in the heart of Kiowa-Comanche country and is a lifelong friend and brother to Dusty. A former drummer, Bobby has made a smooth transition to percussion.
Lacy Saunders, another newcomer with a voice and talent expressing nothing less than pure experience, is a key element to the unique harmonies and lead vocals of the group.
The band is presently engaged in a three-record commitment, with the first ten-song album to be released in early 2004. All songs and music are original compositihhhons by band members. The record is being produced by Dusty Miller for R.H.O.M. (Red Hands On Music) Records, which is owned and operated by the members of Red Rhythm.

The Red Rhythm Band is:

Dusty Miller-guitar, bass, and vocals
Dustin Miller-guitar, bass, and vocals
Terry Tsotigh-drums and harmonica
Bobby Heddleston-percussion
Lacy Saunders-vocals and percussion

  • Turn up the vocals!
    author: Sandpiper

Turn up the vocals! Lacy is drowned out somewhat on this debut album. The original scores are pretty good. You need to get album in the hands of people who can sell CDs and can get airtime. Be shameless...send it to everyone!
