Post – Modern – Power – Loungers
The Recliners, a five-piece combo, originally hailing from Austin, TX — now also based in Richmond, VA - take the traditional “lounge sound” and zoom-off into galaxies never explored by Sinatra, Jones, or even Humperdinck.
In over 12 plus years of existence, The Recliners have entertained them all: young and old,
tuxedo-ed or tongue-pierced, in taffeta or tattooed, débutantes and dirt-bikers.
A Recliner’s Recipe : Take traditional standards from the 20’s to the 60’s, add in newer songs from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, swing them across the dance floor, and then mix in a generous shot of sultry bossa nova and cha-cha rhythms, blend until smoother than a James Bond come-on line, add tasty original songs (shaken...not stirred)and you're in martini heaven, baby.
What the Press has to Say:
"With the swanky, swingy, and loungey arrangements
of rock & roll tunes, your grandparents will have no idea that they are dancing to AC/DC and The Beastie Boys. It’s the perfect touch of surrealism to add to your wedding reception."
"BEST WEDDING BAND" "BEST LOUNGE/SWING BAND"
“BEST COVER BAND”
--The Austin Chronicle--
"The Recliners are much more than a parody; it makes you
want to book a cruise for two on the Pacific Princess.
The Recliners live? Yes babe, a must see!"

Raw Fish
author: In BloomOne of the better CD's with mellow music I've heard. I love the softer versions of some of those oldies. Keep doing what you're doing...you're the best!

Best Album of 2008
author: Lisette Vilmenay & Michelle FernandezOk... so we don't really know when this album came out but it's the best album of that year. The satirical sinatra-esque covers of various pop songs is absolutely brilliant! We hope they never stop... EVER! Sisters and Aspiring Future Groupies, Lisette & Michelle
