notes
The Rebekka Fisher Band is a bluesy/rock group with a jazz influence performing around the Twin Cities. Fisher’s influences include Carole King, Parliament Funkadelics, James Brown, and Gladys Knight.
This CD is a combination of live takes in the studio and production and electronica from a producer named Deevo in the Twin Cities area. But beyond the great quality of the recording and mastering, the songwriting is crafty, creative and leads you to unexpected territory. This is Rebekka's 4th CD, but the first one where she collaborates with the best songwriters of the area.
"I love this CD! This is something I would play at home". Matt Zimmerman, Wild Sound Recordings.
"Sounds good. I like it. May I keep it?" Prescott Niles from The Knack.

A Rockin' Talent Deserving Wider Recognition
author: Dandrum MesnikI’ve followed Rebekka Fisher’s musical journey since she was yea high ---- what is she, 5’4”? --- and even though she’s still 5’4”, she’s got gargantuan talent. All her CDs are highly recommended, but with “These Eyes” she’s shown much growth, diversity, soulfulness, passion, and maturity in her compositions, singing, and playing, not to mention a tight, rockin’ band and production. Each album shows a different modus operandi, and "These Eyes" excels in combining electronica with live musicianship all around. These album illustrates how wonderfully she uses the studio to full effect. The music rocks, pulses, and propels you to the bone; it’s groovacious! The Twin Cities is a cauldron of musical activity, and Rebekka is just brimming with talent. She’s TDWR, Talent Deserving Wider Recognition. Can’t wait to hear what she does next. Now I regret having to move away from Minneapolis, cuz I can’t catch her in concert. She must get them a-rockin’ and a-dancin’ in all those clubs she gigs at. And those eyes…..aaaaaah…..those eyes…………! Get this and all her albums.
I think it's great
