Real is a band that are truly slaves to the groove! They love the classics with all their passion and intensity that you can't help but pay attention to. It is in those musical moments where REAL will hook you in and infect you with a melodic strain, that no antibody will ever cure! A mix of Rock, Funk & Pop styles swirls around on their self-titled 5 Song EP, which they are sure you will enjoy! Welcome to all that is Real. REAL is a band from Calgary, Alberta Canada. From their infant beginnings, in winning the Calgary Battle of the Bands in 2000, to in 2003 "Learn to Love" hitting #3 on Garageband.com's Pop/Rock chart over 10's of thousands of songs, REAL has shown they have what it takes to win the hearts and minds of new audiences.
Playing as many shows as they can get their hands on, REAL has played everything from clubs, bars, racetracks, floor hockey tournaments, to opening up for Wide Mouth Mason, Street Heart & Doug & the Slugs!
Releasing their self-titled EP on January 31st, 2003, REAL is giving the fans what they want - officially unleashing their music to the masses.

PRO ROCKERS!
This is as close to Professional Status as I've heard yet on GB! LEAD VOCALS are explicitly pronounced with an intense amount of feeling and expression! The MELODY is a "grabber and hold-oner!" The overall SOUND is like that of a SUPERGROUP!!! This band has IT ALL, and if they are still on the ground, they will be AIRBORN soon enough! I hope they have more selections listed. I'll listen to all I can get my hands on! Clear the aisles and make way for another SUPER BAND!!! EXCELLENT! KEEP ON ROCKIN!

Shine..Ohh yea
Funky, groovy, rocking, awesome, oh sheesh I need more adjectives here. Vocals, are so darn good I honest to goodness got goose bumps. If I didn't know better, I would swear Lenny Kravitz, (who I consider just to be just this side of god) had uploaded this tune here. But you hit a few notes, I think may even be outta his reach, and just a bit closer to Prince. The guitar work here... OMG I am utterly speechless. I have not heard better, in a long long time, maybe ever! Killer bass line, great lyrics. Hook, you need even ask? You got it, reel it in baybee! I am dazed, and amazed. This is one heck of a tune. Where are you guys? Let me shut up here. I want a CD!! I want more tunes!

Incredible Sound - Incredible CD
author: Catherine WaddellREAL exceeded all my expectations! The band is obviously on the same wave-length as their work on this CD clearly demonstrates their teamwork as well as highlightling their individual talents. I look forward to hearing more from REAL in the future.
