notes
Roger Ceresi formed the "All Starz" in the summer of 2003. The response to this new group has been extremely enthusiastic. So much so that they decided to produce a CD within six months of the formation of the group. In two days these guys recorded these twelve songs at a small church in Providence, RI. No fancy studio stuff just real music played by musicians who have been doing it long enough to know what it takes to get it right. Just like the title says they've been Reelin' and Rockin' ever since.
The band members all have their roots firmly set in the Blues and R&B world. Starting with drummer Joey Sullivan laying out a danceable beat you can't resist. At his side is Ken "Doc" Grace on the bass who worked with Roomful of Blues for years and can be heard on their CDs "Dance All Night", "Turn It On Turn It Up", "Under One Roof", and "Roomful of Christmas". On the keyboard is the inimitable Mark Taber who played keys for Ken Lyon in Tombstone Blues Band for some 30 years. The guitarist Rob Nelson has seen his share of the world touring with the great Lazy Lester and George 'Wild Child' Butler plus his many years leading the very popular "Loaded Dice". On the horns are Barry Fleisher formerly with Michelle Willson, John Abrahamsen from Gatemouth Brown and Guitar "Junior" Johnson, and Carl Querfurth of Roomful of Blues. They're quite a rocking line up.
