notes
I really want the CD to speak for itself but the company insist....let us say that this is some moving music by some of the industries most potent sources, they've graced many smooth-jazz and contemporary jazz recordings and stages, shared credits with Grammy awarded performers and now in the conceptual workshop of Rashaan Rich, the stuff has hit the fan.
This Philly based guitarist has re-established what it's really All about "sure nuff in your face and up your spine with a melodic hook".
Rashaan combines the aural palate of many different guitar styles and brings them to the forefront in seamless fashion. With two bassist and keyboardist on practically every track the table he has set is replete with all the necessary componets.
At this point writting of him does the music a dis-favor it may taint the aural senses with media hype which this artist nor his project needs. Now go and see for yourself....
G. Bogans - The International Musicians Collective. We,ve been asked to do what we were trying not too, we actually thought you would let us get away with it but "yes Rashaan Rich is the original guitarist of "Karma" and yes he still takes his concept band "GATEWAY" on the road.We thank you for keeping up with him. This CD should really stimulate your senses he has with him two original members of GATEWAY and has joined them on to the current unit... Alphonso Carey-5 string bass... Gerald Veasley-6 string bass....Jr.Vance-4 string fretless bass / Kirk Boyer-FenderRhodes & keyboard synths...Rhonda Lancaster-keyboards/synths...Mark Johnson- keyboards/synths/ Robert Landham-alto sax... Donald Ward-alto sax...Richard Whaler 3rd drums...Charles Curry-drums... Ron Scott- drums..../Richard Dickey Adderly-vibes Fred Cooper-rhythum & synth guitar... Rashaan is the sole composer of all compositions except " I Wish" co-written by bassist-Lee Patterson drummer Charles Curry and guitarist Rick Harris... all original members of Gateway...well now thats out of the way let us get back to what we do best... thanks for the inquiry......Y.Reich -"Team Groove"

Rashaan's style and sound makes me homesick!!
author: AJ & CompanyRashaan and I are from the same streets in Philly and I am so glad that I got in touch with him again and got a fresh reminder of the fierce grooves we grew up with and what it means to be a musician. This cd reflects true skill, patience and the value of good friends. He has always been a talent and now the world knows.I think I'll go back home now.
Fantastic
author: Thomas Johnson III was extremely impressed with this CD. I bought it at their concert in the park (Harrisburg, PA)and I was literally overwhelmed with this jewel.
"Masterful"
author: Bruce E. CooperThe way Rashaan weaves his melodic artistry through each and every tune on this cd is nothing short of Masterful. I bought the cd and took it to the South of France with me on vacation.Needless to say...it's still there now.The French loved it, especially, Forgotten Memories. I can't wait until the next one.
