notes
"Excellent production. Pure roots & culture! An essential pick." -ebreggae.com
"Already a roots classic." - riseupshow.tk
Hailing from the small yet powerfully talented Caribbean island of St. Croix, the sensation called Ras Attitude is back with his fourth album, titled Royal Lionage.
A blend of every style of reggae covered since the nu-roots revolution of the 90's, this artist ably and with grace and skill bounces between roots reggae, ska, hip-hop, r&b, traditional nyabinghi, and dancehall. From crooning to his DJ style, Ras Attitude is the next sure-fire superstar in the world of reggae music... and this album, Royal Lionage, is his one-stop resume, a portfolio of a true star's talent.
Produced by an exciting new production team called "Revolution Sound" - both for their adherance to the revolutionary nature of reggae music as well as for the revolution of wax on a turntable - that hails from northern California. Consisting of DJ and Producer Danjres (that's "dangerous") Will and Groundation bass player Ryan Newman, all instruments, drum programming and arranging are done by the two of them alone. Mixed by Danjres Will and Mastered by Lion & Fox studios in Washington, D.C., Royal Lionage is a breakthrough V.I album, a musical collage that remains tru to the roots of VI reggae yet sets a new standard for crossing over into musical styles resonating all around the world.

Definitely worth tuning in to
author: FyahhhhhhhRoyal Lionage has a new sound. It was refreshing to my ears. Fyahhh tunes..."Where there is jah will", "Kette Drum", "More to Life" The only setback on the album is "Upstream of Life" and the fact its only 11 tracks. I just wanted to hear more tunes.
Its got soul...love the soul.
author: Lucy BermanLove the album as a whole. Ras Attitude has soul. "More to Life" is my jam right now...Soul, Soul, Soul.
Nice new sound for reggae...check it!
author: Travis WilsonRas Attitude's best work to date. Check out nyabinghi driven "Kette Drum" and the Mad Notes Riddim on "Where there is Jah Will"...Definitely worth a listen.
100% authlentic sound...who produced this!?!
author: Vybz MajorAttitude is as diverse as they come and puts his niceness on the some of the best riddims of the year...the production on this album is setting a new bar for reggae music. "Where Jah Will" is a real catchy tune.
