Album Notes

Who? Ranfa, very rare species of singer, born in Florence in 1969, tries to go to school and he goes there... running! As a matter of fact, sport would be his first love, an activity in which he excels, as a young boy. Questions? 70 kilos of flesh stretching for 1.78m height (!?) who likes, besides singing: drawing, cuddling his kids (Diego, Mirko and Viola), reading comics, and sweating… while he teaches ‘spinning’ it’s his second or, perhaps, third job! A little bit of history... He start his activity as a singer in 1988, he tries his hand at singing west coast music and Queen covers. Afterwards he approaches different musical genres as blues, funky, disco music, musical (he plays Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, and Rocky in the Rocky Horror Show). But it’s in the Hard Rock genre that he can better express his singing qualities: he is finally able to perform songs which suits him completely... a tenor repertoire at last !!! " …it was a very strong emotional experience to be able to sing with Ian Paice " (legendary drummer of Deep Purple) in Florence, on the 21st of December 2000 and in Como on the 22nd of September 2005!!! On the 14th April 2005 he had the honour of singing "Here I go again" with the “real” Whitesnake's guitarists: Moody & Marsden! He has founded Purple Sucker, Deep Purple cover band, and sang for 8 years, from 1999 to 2007. With Purple Sucker he has more than 70 concerts to its credit.
