notes
Currently a student at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rachel Taylor's primary influences are from Jazz. After college in St. Paul, Minnesota, she traveled through Mexico as part of a guitar/vocal due playing jazz standards. After returning to the states, she moved east to work for a concert promotion company, and at that time began performing regularly as a solo artist and back-up vocalist. Rachel released her solo recording "Revolving", in September 2001, a compilation of seven originals and one standard. After performing her original music locally, she started to perform Jazz, weekly at Joseph's Winter St Cafe in Newburyport, MA with the wonderful Lou Silvestri on piano, who is featured on this 19 song CD. Blame it on my Youth includes songs by Gershwin, Porter, Rodgers, Hart and others.
