notes

Vienna, Austria is a place where the past is never far away and has been the home of expatriate songwriter Kelly Keviño for the last 8 years. Mozart, Napoleon, Beethoven, Trotsky, Freud, and Hitler are just the most famous (and infamous) of the many who passed through the imperial city, and whose ghosts still make their presence known from time to time. A tendency to hold on to the past long after it is gone applies not only to empires, but also to individuals and the memories they carry. This is the inspiration for the "Yesterday Forever" project - through music and lyrics to call these ghosts of the past to account (or at least make them dance).

Kelly Keviño's acoustic guitar and voice, backed by the creative rhythm section of bass player Peter Hiller and drummer Hari Kreuzer form the folk/poppy core of the group known as Quinine Tribe.

Singer/Songwriter Laura Dimond Kelley's poignant vocal harmonies and the soaring electric guitar leads of Heiko Poss flirt shamelessly with country and rock 'n roll on several songs, while on others David Mayrl's smooth saxophone and Julie Loveson's flute and keyboards evoke a jazz sensibility. Guests stop by to provide trumpet, harmonica and classical guitar solos to round off a project of 14 original songs guaranteed to be effective for your malarial fever (gin optional).
