notes
The "QUEEN V" CD was written and recorded by Queen V and the fellas after 18 months on tour opening for rock legends including Billy Idol and Twisted Sister, leaving them with something to prove.
In turn, the old guard passed the scepter of Rock & Roll to the new guard and fans were eager and ready for a new voice of Rock. Check out track #6 "Million To One" and track #11 "Do You Believe" written with Steve Stevens (Billy Idol's guitarist and co/writer on "Rebel Yell," "Eyes Without A Face," et al).
Fans demonstrated their loyalty by flocking to witness the majesty of QUEEN V. She contunues to deliver the blistering sermons that Rock fans have been thirsting for. A QV show is an altar for sacred Rock & Roll: the grinding riffs, the heavy rhythms, and the unforgettable performance by the leading lady of Rock.
Here are some opinions of the album when it was initially released. You be the judge!
==============
"It's as if Joan Jett revamped her band, got a little more aggressive with her vocals, obtained an even tougher attitude and took a militant lyrical style from Pat Benatar. Mix that up with some funk, swish it around with some pure rock guitar licks and a dash of punchy drum tracks, and you have the first full-length album from New York-based rockers Queen V.
Songs such as "Million to One" bring back a nostalgic feeling from days gone by when rock was rock and it was Gen X against the world. Even with catchy hooks, the band stands back to make way for her majesty Queen V to put forth her unbelievable vocal belts and banshee gone punk screams. It tattoos your brain and makes you want to spike up your hair, put on your leather pants and ripped-up sleeveless tee and jump into the Thunderdome."
-- Good Times Magazine, Laila Milanian, May 2005
"Attitude would be the best word to describe this release. Queen V has tons of it along with the potential to be a breakout artist in a world of fabricated rock if the labels did not have so much 'artistic control.'"
-- 1heavymetal.com, Greg Uhrlich, April, 2005.
We're skeptical of anyone who refers to herself as a "rock goddess," but so-labeled Queen V has the grinding hard-rock riffs, '80s fills and raspy vocals to almost pull it off.
-- Time Out New York, April 7-13, 2005.
The all-powerful QUEEN V is back with a vengeance. The new self-titled, self-released album has hit the streets at last! Her new material is guaranteed hard, fast and fierce. Full of fire, soul searching charismatic sweet tones of a voice forged in steel. This CD is made from the heat and pounding of her heart.
-- New York Waste, Starr Tucker, April 2005.
"V, the guitar-yielding front-vixen for NYC hard-rock exports Queen V, is a bad-ass rock chick with a penchant for metal-edged riffs and caterwaul shouts whose downtown look walks a razor-thin line between sexy and scary."
-- The Examiner (San Francisco), January 15, 2004
"Check out Queen V (that's her name, bub), a dirty-sexy hard-rock belter with star power to burn and tunes that linger past the inevitable hangover."
-- Salt Lake City Weekly, January 15, 2004

Fantastic
author: Steve G.I love V, and I love this CD. Can't wait for new material. I saw her live recently. She fronted my buddy's band for a few gigs over the summer (2008), and we saw them last month. They performed "Right or Wrong", and it was great to hear her sing it live. Goosebump city. She spent time with my family and I between sets, and was so nice & gracious. Beautiful, talented, smart & sweet. The perfect woman. If you like pure rock, and great vocals, you should buy this CD, and see her live when you get a chance.
Absolutely phenomenal rock album
author: BobbyI heard her originally on WDHA and was instantly hooked. Everyone who loves raw, edgy and powerful rock music must check out this album. Her music powerful and she has one awesome scream , but she also tones it down in places and has tremendous versatility in her singing style. I guarantee if you listen to the album on your way to work in the morning just one time, the songs will be in your head all day.
Just Great!!! .. Incredible album!!!

Brings Rockin' Back Home!
author: FabGood to hear Rock 'n Roll played and sung with such passion again. it's seems like a long time since I have heard such a great rock voice accompany such good music and lyrics. The ballads are fantastic, with right amount of fervor and crescendo to keep you feelin' good all night long!!!
Long Live The Queen V!
author: SteveI bought this for my wife. She is a rocker to the core and she absolutely loves it!! I heard the Queen V on a podcast and it had my wife's taste (and mine) written all over it. She was feeling down. When she heard it, it lifted her spirts. It hasn't left the CD player since we got it a week ago.
