The long-awaited BAWDY CD from Queen's Gambit. The vocal performance of this group as applied to some traditional and popular "lusty" songs brings the beauty through the bawdy. Driving rhythms, as in "Cuckoo's Nest" that make a bold statement.

notes
Queen's Gambit is a traditional Celtic vocal group that brings lovely three-part harmonies to classic Irish, Scottish, and English ballads, with a healthy side order of session tunes, English country dance music as well as filk to the ears of its listeners. They can be found playing at only the very best Renaissance Festivals throughout the Central U.S.
This third release, "OFF THE BOARD!" showcases some of the bawdier side of Celtic music, blended with a distinctly Irish style.
We've been promising this CD for many months, and after two false starts, have finally released "OFF THE BOARD!". The project itself took on a character of its own, and made us wait until it developed its own personality before it would let us finish it. Once it decided it wanted to actually be done, the creativity and arrangement techniques took over, and the result is worth a listen!

Catchy!
author: Lilly V.It all makes sense now! Thank you for bringing this CD out! Some of the Faire jokes that have been going over my head are now truly solved! Also appriciate ya'll weathering the weather at RCC, we loved having ya'll and It was a pleasure to hear ya'll in person! Keep up the great work!
Laughs abound in this third offering from Queen's Gambit
author: BobToe-tapping rhythms and off color lyrics make this a must have. This CD encapsulates the dirty moments that make pub sings at Renaissance festivals so much fun. Grab a lusty wench and a flagon of ale and settle in for intelligent innuendo and blatant bawdiness!
Great fun!
author: ShannonGreat fun from the band! I get an absolute giggle over Susi's vocal expressions in "Moose To Bruce", and I had a good laugh over the rest of the CD as well. Well done, QG!
