When Kirsten Proffit's parents split up, the only thing they fought over was their record collection. While that obsession with music was instrumental in the 27 year-old singer/songwriter becoming an artist, the emotional fallout of the divorce has been equally defining for her art.
Love, passion, pain, and loss. These are the subjects of Kirsten's brand of guitar-driven pop/rock. Her songs ache but aren't depressing. They're emotional without melodrama. In both her lyrics and her performance, she conveys a hurting honesty with a sense of hope. With a powerful yet sultry voice and a captivating stage presence, she engages an audience with hooks they can sing and feelings that they've experienced.

I hope kirsten is able to make a second,third fourth album in the near future. She created a need for more. Everybody should buy this EP in order to get a strong fan base upon new releases are triggered. Thanks Kirsten for a really wonderfull EP, keep on your good work you are on the right way. author: Raymond SteinerI bought this 5 song EP and figured what can I lose? Well this is a great CD! I am extremely impressed with Kirsten's voice and delivery....very real. Great lyrics and hooks. I just keep playing this CD over and over. Every song is awesome. I highly recommend this CD and I look forward to more music from this wonderful artist. She has the potential, voice, and songs to hit the big time.
