THE PRIORY’s stunning debut release, Grail Song, evokes the mysteries of the ages. Mixing Celtic/Orchestral/New Age textures with stunning "Flute Guitar" playing, this special release will sweep you away into a world of mysticism and melody.

notes

THE PRIORY’s debut CD, "Grail Song," is a stunning piece of modern songcraft and musicianship. Inspired by recent books and films about the search for the Grail, this album will take you a spiritual journey to help you decipher one of the mysteries of the ages.

"Grail Song" was created by the same studio team that brought you Guitar Garden. THE PRIORY uses lush keyboards and guitar-synthesizer textures (such as Flute Guitar) to create a charismatic blend of Celtic, Jazz, New Age, Electronic and Progressive styles.

The recording sessions for this CD proceeded at a swift pace, and tracks like “Sangreal,” “Sophie” and “Keystone" were largely composed and recorded in an exciting one-week period. Indeed, most of "Grail Song" was completed in under one month. This fresh inspiration gives the album a sense of spontaneity that’s rarely heard these days in instrumental music.

  • A Different Kind of Grail Quest
    author: Rodney Parrish

Jazz, Celtic and other influences combine to present a different kind of music for grailseekers. Though not my favorite grail inspired album, it is an interesting jazz album that can stand on its own without the grail inspiration.

  • Great Music for the reading the Da Vinci Code!
    author: Jim Willis

Great Music for the reading the Da Vinci Code! The Priory captures the mystery and wonder of the Grail legends. The music is awesome--especially that "flute guitar" stuff. Thanks!

  • Love it! Give me more!
    author: Mary Masters

This is a very cool record. I've never heard of these guys before, but this record is special. You can just put it on and get lost in the music. Thanks!

  • Evocative, powerful music. The Flute Guitar is AMAZING!
author: Jerry Smith, radio programmer, WZBK

This is evocative, powerful music. The melodies are excellent and the musicianship is steller. The Flute Guitar solos are AMAZING! I recommend this for all fans of Celtic New Age or Da Vinci book readers.
