notes
You're Pretty's self-titled debut is one emotional, intense creation, one that sounds like no other.
The album's songs deliver grinding, tearing, soul-touching honesty. You're Pretty has the ability to wretch out carnage-causing screams and notes, and then turn around to lullaby you to sleep.
If you like strong, powerful, female vocals and strong, powerful, dynamic music you'll love You're Pretty.
Haunting and subtle - this is one album not to be taken lightly.

F#@%^$ck'in awsome rock and roll

Great Sound
author: CdsI´ve bought it twice (i was stolen), so you can imagine how great it is. Powerfull music, voice and lyrics. I was looking for 161 ep too, but is out of stock. It´s a pity, cause i liked it a lot.
very emotional..beautiful..
author: alicekgreat music...awesome songs...beautiful voice...
The beginning never ends..
author: CiearaThis self-titled album proves the overall talent of You're Pretty. You're Pretty is a well thought out debut. It shows that You're Pretty has a lot to offer. Strong, angelic vocals stream with guitar, bass, and drums to deliver an intriguing awe that you'll never forget.
Impressive
author: JaydeI love this CD. The vocals and music were just what I was looking for.
"You're Pretty" lives on through its music
author: Kestrel421Beautifully haunting cd; Beth's vocals are astounding!
Amazing album from a sadly broken up band.
author: Ben MyersOh wow. I've seen You're Pretty live a few times and they were incredible. It's a shame that they broke up. They're back together without Beth as Early Days Yet, but I haven't heard anything and Beth's vocals with the noisy guitar work provided for a Deftones meets Cure meets Tori kind of mix. It's perfect. Buy this cd, and when they run out get Beautiful Accidents. I'm ecstatic that I found a copy of the 161 ep on gemm.com In your face.
It's over too soon
author: LauraThis astounded me. I heard about the band from a link through Torsion(linked through Tapping The Vein =P)and bought this CD.... It is a CD full of some of the most gorgeous, deep music I have heard since my beloved Finnish metal bands. It made me want to cry and keep listening at the same time. My favourite track, by far, is I Am Not...this describes someone I knew once perfectly. Buy it ^_^
You're pretty still has my soul
author: MirkratI've been a fan of You're Pretty's since I first heard them play live in a basment bar in Milwaukee a few years ago. I have this CD but in a pre-release form which came in a plain plastic case with a 1 page cover-book. They were handing them out free and looking for fans back then. :) If CD's wore out, this one would be garbage. I have listened to this CD more times than I can count. Beth's voice stole my heart and soul. She is completely captivating.
Hey was that my sister? lynn o.? lol..
author: Lexia Silkheartthis was a great cd, i heard it at my friend raven's house, i've only been able to see them play live once at the emerson theatre. in Indianapolis, IN, durh, i live here, lol, they're great, i also love it when ppl ask "who's next?" me:" you're pretty!" them:"what?" hehe, i was also wanting to know who that lynn o. person was? lol.. looks like my sister's name.. ack, ok, well, great band, great cd! lovely haunting music! -Lex
Non-stop emotion
author: NigelThis album has a blast of emotion that can't be forgotten. Each track locks you in for the next. You're Pretty showcases equal parts beauty, power, and haunts. The true standout is Tie My Hands. From the subterranean guitar to vocals that are a true emotional rollar coaster, this song grabs you by the throat and makes you listen. It was years ago that I first played this song at the station I worked at, and still it pulls me in. The whole album deserves praise for bringing an emotion that is so often lacking. The vocals truly twist and turn you inside.
gripping, haunting, spell-binding, AMAZING!
author: KatyNot only are they my favorite band, they're the nicest people in the world! I was a fan from the very first second of this album. Great stuff.
Chilling, flawless, elegant..I fell in love.
author: LindseyThe guitar strings made love to me, the drums were my heart, and her voice gave me wings.
Very good!
author: NikkiYou're Pretty is great! This CD is fantastic! Those of you who don't have it should definately buy this CD. It's unlike anything you've ever heard, so I'm going to have a very difficult time describing it. The vocals are beautiful and eerie, all around great. The bass (Chris is the best!) is well balanced yet very present and easy to feel. Beautiful guitar parts, and drums are just wow. I was sort of gambling when I bought this CD, I had no idea what I was getting into. I am not at all disappointed. I've found a new favorite band and am very anxiously waiting for my grandma to ge me the new CD! Just... BUY THIS CD! I'm not a music critic, I'm not going to try to be. I'm just telling you this is a revolution in music and should be experienced.
incredibly emotional and powerful
author: CoraThe emotion in this CD is indescribable. With powerful and haunting vocals and eerie guitar solos, as well as the frank honesty of the lyrics, they involve the listener with the music in a way that few other bands are able to do. "Shhh Quiet" and "Nothing Lasts" are songs to listen for, but every song on this album is amazing! If only they had more than one CD available.
review of You're Pretty's self-titled CD
author: Mike MagnusonFrom the album's dauntingly operatic beginning, it's clear that You're Pretty are no slave to the rock'n'roll formula. In this case, singer Beth Musolff creates the mood and the band follows........And sing she does. You're Pretty is powerfully reflective and sometimes poetically moving.
review of the "You're Pretty" CD
author: Noel Stalker HawkinsTake some heavy edged guitars and combine it with Tori Amos and Natalie Merchant, and you have the band, You're Pretty. Fear seems to be the driver for most of You're Pretty's music. The name itself seems to be a conflict of emotions that many people suffer from today. These emotions are rarely expressed as beautifully and honest as they are on You're Pretty's newest self titled release. Quiet eeriness followed by all out intense passion dictates almost every song on the album. This album is an excellent piece of work that anyone who can face some of his or her own fears can relate to. If you're one to think about the darker side of life being as real as the lighter, then You're Pretty is one band you have to listen to.

Album: You're Pretty Memebers: Beth Musolff(vocals); Steve Kern (guitar, effects); Chris Stenger (bass); Dave Keckeisen (drums). Produced by: You're Pretty & Paul Kneevers Origin: Milwaukee What you should know: Formed in early 1998, this young act has already generated quite a buzz throughout the Midwest and has even started to gain major-label interest. The sound of the quartet is built around the unique and engaging vocals of Beth Musolff, who at one moment can be subdued and ethereal and the next excited and intense. The arrangements allow for quite a bit of dynamic extremes, but you'll notice that melody and song structure remain the guiding forces. The Iowa Daily wrote, "Though they defy description, You're Pretty is what would result it Tori Amos joined the Deftones." Suggested Songs: "Pretending"; "SShhh Quiet"; "You're Forgiven." I cant believe the amount of emotion that this music brings forth. Cheers to You're Pretty . Ill will ordering a CD as soon as next week. Keep it up. Hope your band has plans to play in the Ohio area soon! Thanks Liza

I ordered this CD from the band a couple weeks ago, and it rocks! Beth's voice has to be heard to be believed, she's got an incredible amount of vocal and emotional range. Tight rhythms and wild guitars. You're Pretty is all that and a bag of chips!
