Album Notes

John was born on August 8, 1980, and grew up in Provo, Utah, with music playing a big part in his life from his early childhood. Whether playing the piano, singing, or performing on stage, John enjoys entertaining his audiences. He graduated in 1998 from Timpview High School and served an LDS church mission to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1999. He graduated from BYU in Music Dance Theatre last April. He as been seen around Utah Valley in productions of She Loves Me, My Fair Lady, and The Secret Garden. In 2002, he spent the summer in Wyoming at the Jackson Hole Playhouse starring as "Curly" in Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic musical Oklahoma! John spent two years perfoming as a member of the BYU Young Ambassadors. He appears on their fireside recording The Lord is My Light, and toured with them through much of the Western U.S. and Brazil. In March of 2004, he performed as a Top 32 finalist on the Fox Television reality phenomoenon American Idol, and later that year as featured in Provo's Stadium of Fire with Reba McEntire. He was nominated for a national college performing award for his role as Professor Harold Hill in BYU's acclaimed 2005 production of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man. During the summer of 2005, John performed in St. George Utah as part of the ensemble cast in Tuacahn's productions of Beauty and the Beast and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Most recently, he toured the Western States with Michael McLean's The Forgotten Carols. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, fishing, watching movies and traveling.
