POETRY CENTER’S ROOM AT THE TABLE CD
The Poetry Center of Chicago announces the debut of Room at the Table, a new CD that features live readings culled from the Audio Archives of The Poetry Center’s venerable 34-year-old reading series. Room at the Table includes work from some of the best and brightest literary lights in contemporary poetry such as Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Billy Collins, Yusef Komunyakaa, Lisel Mueller, Jorie Graham, Lucille Clifton, Ted Kooser and many others.
The Room at the Table CD is a product of The Poetry Center’s newly initiated Audio Archive project. Selected readings from The Poetry Center’s extensive audio catalog are digitized to preserve the performances; the best tracks from those recordings are placed on the CD.
