Plans & Apologies - “Two Left Feet” Track Review - It's hard to imagine any freshman guitar band from England escaping Libertines and Arctic Monkeys comparisons, but the influence is readily audible on "Two Left Feet", from Plans & Apologies. The guitar swagger at the outset recalls Up the Bracket, only with a nerdy tidiness instead of an inebriated sloppiness, and the self-deprecating tomfoolery looks surprisingly good on a dancefloor, even if the band swear they can't dance. But these comparisons only highlight the band's own drive. Seriously, what's more manic: the singer trying to work in as many syllables as he can, as if the band's started the van without him, or the overstimulated guitar that sounds like a Slinky running down stairs at full speed?
