saucy bass lines on cello looped with a creamy female topping, handled by masters

notes

"The music is so skewed and unusual that I find myself surprised when she pulls out something as conventional as a bow to play the chorus. Alone on stage she relies on the expert use of a series of delay pedals to fill the space, capturing live loops which she then accompanies to create dissonant but full bodied harmonies.
The chattering audience is hushed after a few bars and spellbound by the end of the first song. It would be lazy of me to compare this to P J Harvey circa 'Man-Size Sextet' but I'm going to anyway because it's the only thing in my record collection that bears any resemblance to this unique and beautiful performance." Kid Isosceles

These were mostly 1st takes.
I used the backwards effect, the octave leap and a delay on my line 6 pedal.
There's lots of improvisation.
Other instruments and effects were added after~
bass, electric guitars with various pedals and an old korg synthesizer by Tim Harries; computer wizardry and percussion by Roy Dodds;and marimba by Justin Woodwood.

...keeps good company indeed, BRAVA MRS PILGRIMM!!

  • Another good one from Mrs pilgrimm

This is her second CD, a bit more experimental then the first and again I like it very much. Some far out cello and laid back vocals make for a fresh interesting sound. Not main stream nor intended as such, so catch a fire and groove with Mrs Pilgrimm.

Rich tones in wood boats float on female lake.Vocal sketches with a bow of love caress the internal nuance, alone in it's happy place.Solitary siren sews a fabric in kenetic colors to drape her cello.
