Streets of London EP Short Bio
Piers was a painter who wrote and sang songs. And then he was a singer who painted. Now he does both. Piers' first American release is the Streets of London EP that is out now on Everloving Records.
Piers is the latest Everloving signing (Jack Johnson, Metric, Joseph Arthur, Inara George). He is the biggest selling pop artist on France's Label Blue. The Streets EP briefly showcases Piers' love for West African rhythms and mournfully elegant ballads. It is a mere snapshot of what will become the career beginnings of one of a handful of today's young, romantic poets.
Piers' American full-length debut, Tearing Sky, is also out now. Tearing Sky was produced by Everloving co-owner JP Plunier (Ben Harper/Jack Johnson). Plunier recruited Ben Harper, members of Ben and Jack's entourage and Kaleidoscope's legendary Chris Darrow to play on the album.

I first saw Piers open for Ben Harper in Toronto and was instantly hooked. His music and lyrics speak to the soul. I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to see him live & any future albums!

Starting off with echoes of Nick Drake or Alexi Murdoch, Piers Faccini quickly proves that his palette is a highly personal one. While embracing the mellow, subtle touches similar to certain male folk artists, his highly agile sense of style takes him through jazz to country folk, dreamy piano pop to an earthy folk blues vibe slightly hinting Mississippi John Hurt. And what's equally impressive is his ability to capture and embrace all of these styles with a dumbfounding presence, a grounded sense of bliss wholly his own. Over all, there is always a personal approach- this is an album put together with care and ease, fueled by pure talent and deep integrity.
