Sex appeal, musical manipulation and devilish fun with a double shot of Rock and Roll is proving to be quite the cocktail for Phantasm. Since 2002 this Western New York quartet has raised the musical bar with their Avant-Garde instrumentation, colorful vocal work, and a high energy live show.
Phantasm deviates from the angst and teenage heartbreak that fills the airwaves, with sexuality and satire. Their raging riffs and swinging beats fuel their equally powerful messages of acceptance, open mindedness and adventure.
With the help of a few catalytic fans, the boys of Phantasm built their own DIY promotional workhorse. Utilizing their talents, they've branched out of their hometown, gaining regional respect and dots of national attention along the way.
Overall, the dynamic demented pop stylings of Phantasm refuse the chains of one genre. They are a band playing the music they want to hear, doing what they want to do, being who they want to be...unafraid to take chances, unafraid to go with or against the grain, depending on the moment.

Funk, sexuality, dancable beats...a fantastic blend.
author: DanaThis cd entirely blew my mind in every way, shape, and form. Not only is it one you can altogether rock out and dance to, but it gives you large doses of funk, sexuality and (I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about) pissed off driving music. hah. Not only are the lyrics fantastic, but every musical element pulls it together in a blend that will rattle your cage. cheers!

author: aliciathis was the first phantasm cd that i owned and well i loved it.. the songs are wonderful they make you want to get up and dance.. you can deny the sounds of two left feet and hey star... they make you want to dance and not stop till the last song plays...
best cd i've heard in a long time
author: mikeThis cd takes everything that was good about Incubus, Mr. Bungle, and Rage Against the Machine and combines it with a great deal of originality. I deal with a lot of bands, so I hear a lot of cds. And it's not often that I hear a band thats doing something that is (1)really new and creative and (2)worth listening to but these guys have it. It's got: -Kickass creative vocals. Clever, insightful lyrics. -Addictively powerful guitar riffs. -Funky, driving, technical basslines. -Tight, tasteful drumming that suits the songs perfectly. -And turntables that truly add a lot to the songs, it's not often that I hear a band doing something worthwhile with them. Other than that, all I can say is listen to Disasteroid (track 2). If it doesn't get your blood flowing, nothing will.
