Released January 2007, "Space Western" is Peter Kenagy's newest CD to hit the streets since "Little Machines" was released in 2005.
In the suite-like "Space Western", Kenagy's pure trumpet sound is backed with the rich harmonies of electric guitar and electric piano. The groove is from swing, to moody, to rock, to total freedom, but the clarity and direction of Kenagy's playing and writing makes this a remarkable disc of new music.
The new record features five original tunes by Kenagy and an outstanding ensemble made up of Tyler Wood, Rhodes; Adam Larrabee, Guitar; Garth Stevenson, Bass; and Ziv Ravitz, Drums.
