From kids pop-rock to jazz, world-beat to quiet relaxation, Pete Moses' "Boogie in the Mud" song collection has it all. Guitar accompaniment, piano, sax, flute and drums from around the world. Enjoyed by early elementary, preschool children and parents since 1995! Upbeat musical messages of joy, self-esteem and a positive world-view saturate the songs.

For the past 20 years, Pete Moses has performed for groups of young children, festivals, libraries, schools and major children's music venues. These include a sold-out Keswick Theatre, the 1999 Gubernatorial Children's Celebration, Welcome America and World Cafe Live in Philadelphia.

Pete's concerts are highly participatory, funny and upbeat. Performances combine interactive singalongs with original folk & pop-rock for children. He accompanies himself on guitar, keyboards and harmonica. Peter has produced seven original music and song titles since 1990.

His full-time endeavors include directorship of The Kids Music Experience. This is a national project of music enrichment for preschools and daycare centers.

  • Boogie in the Mud

    I work in a child care facility/pre-school. The one age group I work with in the mornings is the late 2's/early 3's. As soon as I arrive they greet with, "Good morning Miss Tammy! Boogie in the Mud!" They can't wait until we play tha song where we dance,sing along, and do various motions. Their other favorite is "Down the Shore" where we all sit around with our toes in imaginary sand and pretending to listen to the ocean in our imaginary sea shells. There are so many things to do and learn with Mr. Pete's music as the children call him. He communicates through music in a language they can relate to and understand. Thank you Mr. Pete!!!!

    The phenomenal thing about this CD is that it is engaging for kids (my boys, almost 3, and 4.5, adore it), but the messages are wonderful and the tunes catchy enough that I've found myself singing them in the shower. Many are uplifting, but my sons delight in all of them, even the very mellow ones like "Down the Shore." Thank you Peter for combining children's music with powerful underlying themes.
