Based in Mebane, North Carolina, PepperDome is a new musical experience shaped by a wide range of musical influences from around the globe. Most would call PepperDome’s distinct, upbeat sound rock music, but rock is a wide and constantly changing genre. Rock and roll, heavy metal, progressive rock, jazz, hip-hop and classical all contribute to PepperDome’s unique sound. Far from a regurgitation of other music, PepperDome’s approach advances an original worldview rooted in the mind of John Tokarczyk. This project is pure and from-the-heart.
John grew up in Shelton, CT. He was exposed to music early in life and was quickly hooked. Listening to almost everything under the sun, his brain gradually wove together a sound of its own, rich and ever-changing. This project is a direct extension of John’s emotions and experience with no compromise. Fun and exciting. Slow and moody. Fast and hectic. It’s the music he likes to listen to, but he hopes it touches others, too. Lyrically, each song is accessible and relatable without being simplistic. The messages range from boredom at work to self-exploration to worldly affairs and politics. Since every person sees the world differently, shouldn't music do the same?
