author: KendraMe and a friend drove from NC to West Virginia. I put this CD in the player. After the first couple of songs my friend asked me what CD was playing. I told her it was Pennycuff. She said "I've never heard of them but I have got to have this CD." Awesome job! I love all the songs. My favs are Upside of Comin Down and Beautiful Day. Can't wait to hear more from these guys.
Stunning album
author: DaveThis is the best album in any genre I have bought this year. It's been played to death - there isn't a duff track on it, every song has it's own magic, and quite frankly if you haven't got a copy yet - why the hell not???
love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This CD is not trendy, it is the substance of emotional compassion relaxed in it's own style...I like the entire CD but the song, Upside Of Comin Down is something we can all relate to and chilling to the spirit. This Soft Blues Country Rock CD will make you think and teach you a few things about life...Generous in Romance and Intriguing in Reality...has kind of a John Mayer and Willie Nelson Attitude. You will enjoy this CD for years to come.

It seems some blues musicians are content to rest on their laurels and not push the traditional electric blues trio sound to any other level than the comfortable norm. Sad but true, and it's one of the reasons that this album stands out from the crowd of blues players. Featuring lyrics that seem to be rooted in an intimate singer/songwriter perspective, the vocals match that aesthetic perfectly, managing to be gravelly and heartfelt all at the same time. The playing is full of heart as well, showcasing some traditional blues grooves but comfortably sliding in and out before it gets stale. If you're a fan of SRV type guitar blues but also have a hankering for a new interpretation on the vocal end, here you go.
