Thank you Alan, for writing these beautiful songs from your heart in memory of your precious daughter, Ashley. We at TCF Saskatoon in Canada are always looking for meaningful music for our Balloon release and our Candlelighting. These songs are absolutely amazing and so meaningful as they are coming from a bereaved parent. Thank you for sharing such a loving talent.

When I started listening to this music I was so touched by the lyrics and guitar. Alan's music is a bridge to so many...my Dad has dementia which is a slow death everyday, and Alan's music touches me where I need it. Thanks for your ministry.

  • The power of song

When I heard about Alan's music, I had to have it. I find comfort in music, and never more so since our 19 year old son passed away 10 months ago. I can so relate to what Alan has gone through. Thanks for believing in the power of song.

I too lost my daughter. My angel. Alan touched my heart deeply with his words and he is helping me to heal. He is going to be in my area soon to perform and I will be there! I will ask for his autograph and buy more CDs too. What a blessing for him to share his talent with words and song - to share his heart to help others heal. Thanks, Alan!

Finally, someone who has been there and can write beautiful and comforting music. I lost my 18 year old daughter, Sara, to a drive by shooting/road rage murder in August in 1999. The murderer has not been found. A Long Hard Fall is perfect, cos if I can make it thru August, I can make it thru the fall and winter. Sara had gotten a butterfly tattoo when she turned 18. I discovered it about 2 weeks later and when I asked her about it, she just grinned. I swore I would never get one, but same as Alan, it seemed like the one thing I knew I had to do for Sara. Thank you for an awesome cd. I look forward to being able to get A Little Farther Down the Road. If the thoughts and emotions of Ashley's Songbook, are any indication, I know I will be equally moved and comforted. love and prayers for the coming days, Sara's Mom.

  • What powerful music!

I lost my son at the age of 15 in a traffic accident and saw a writeup about Alan in a Compassionate Friends newsletter. I ordered this CD the same day and am so glad I did. Alan's music is powerful and, unfortunately, there are thousands of us out there who have reasons to be touched by his lyrics. I would recommend this CD to anyone who has ever suffered the loss of someone close to them and especially those who have lost a child. Thank you, Alan, for sharing your music with the world.

I lost my daughter at the age of 15 - in a tragic car accident, the same as Alan lost his daughter. I cried the first time I listened to the CD even though it has been 11 years since losing Kellie. I would recommend the CD to anyone and everyone who has lost a loved one, esp. a child, no matter how many years it has been. Thank you for touching my heart.

I lost my brother tragicaly, and my father to cancer. I never really dealt with it until I unexpectedly ended up at a concert and heard these songs. I never thought the tears would end. I felt so refreshed and renewed after listening to these songs over and over again. This CD and Alan's new one are a must have.
