notes
Solo Anti Folker, street performer and punk rock frontman Pete Cassani has been playing the streets, subways, clubs and coffeehouses of the world for 15 years. Best known for his work with The Peasants of Boston, Pete has been on over 250 College Radio Stations, 10 US tours, 5 European tours and hundreds of New England Appearances.
The Peasants have opened for such notable acts as Aerosmith, The White Stripes and The Stray Cats. Their songs have appeared on MTV, VH-1, The Shield (Cable TV) show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Nightline, World News Tonight and Good Morning America. The Peasants are a powerful live rock band with a lot to say. During the summer months they take full advantage of Harvard Square in Cambridge, the one place in the United States where musicians are legally allowed to play outside.
Love Your Enemy is the third Peasant record to date. It opens with the stolen election of 2000 by George W Bush and carries into the illegal invasion of Iraq. Love and love lost, hard rock, metal, ballads and pop. In short, a typical Peasant record with alot of different styles and songs that mean something.

album for our times
author: jobiwan'I never said' is one of the most beautiful songs of the decade. Pete has fulfilled the responsibility of the artist in this album by expressing and criticizing the mentality of our times better than anyone.
Great CD!! Perfect mix of sounds and styles.
author: BillGreat hard rock. The best sounding guitar I've heard in years. Homeland Security will give you chills. I Never Said is a psalm. Pete keeps getting better and better.
Solid, clean sounding Rock n Roll, love it!
author: PamSolid, clean sounding Rock with a dose of reality. Relatible lyrics and kick ass guitar. The vocals remind me of Bob Dylan without the mumble! It's music with a message and some just for fun. I'm glad I bought the CD.

This power trio from Boston is back and packing a punch. With this third album release you can hear and feel the maturity of these seasoned musicians. Packed with political fire and social concerns, guitarist and songwriter Pete Cassani, is getting his point across, and how.Soul felt lyrics and masterful fret work makes this a Peasant classic. You have to love a band who can turn it up and still provide a voice. The makers of the Gibson guitar should be proud to know that someone out there is getting it right. Your opinions and views will take front stage while you listen and enjoy this awesome record. Lennon would be proud.
