CD IN STOCK. ORDER NOW. Will ship immediately.

Extremely intimate, moody, and love-lorn singer/pianist...Jeff Buckley meets Brad Mehldau.

notes

"Photograph" is singer/pianist Paul Fowler's debut. It is an intensely personal performance, as if you're sitting at the bench with him while he works out each tune.

Jazz standards sit aside some originals. All bent into unusual spaces. Dark & introspective, it is a rich listening experience.

Produced by Grammy nominee, Robbie Parrish.

  • Great mixture of jazz and classical !!
    author: Dr. Mark A. Goral

Paul Fowler's CD, Photograph, is a truly stimulating and intellectual work. Most amazing is Paul's simultaneous recording of both vocals and piano. Paul's piano talents are limitless, as heard from all compositions on this CD. Paul's own lyrics to a Chopin-based work are exceptional, as are his own lyrical compositions on other songs. I commend Paul on his own twist on jazz classics and even on one Sondheim tune. Paul's voice is beautiful, lilting and gorgeous in many subtle ways. Thank you for your vocals and impeccable piano skills. It's obvious you had fun in making this CD, along with your hard work and talent. I would recommend this musical recording for anyone who likes creativity and progressiveness.

  • Very interesting - well worth repeated listening to
    author: Richard

Paul Fowler is an acquired taste - but well worth the effort. On first listen, I found his voice hard to connect to. But I am so glad that I went back for more. One repeated playing, it only gets better and better. The description of "Jeff Buckley meets Brad Meldhau" is really accurate. Not your typical CD - much more interesting and involving.
