One of Tyneside’s best singer/songwriters...great ear for melody...two classics : “Something Stupid” & You Don’t Scare Me...more songs of that standard : Rose Marie, The Former Ice Queen...imaginative production and that soaring voice...exceeds all expectations...out there on it’s own. Charles Holley - Get Rhythm
Quite extraordinary songwriting ability...his crowning achievement so far...some real heart-stopping moments...these songs swoop and soar...intimate and grandiose, uplifting and melancholic...once again succeeded in raising the bar. Robert Meddes - The Crack, UK.
Very big ideas...a bold record that drips with late-night melancholy and bedsit articulacy...rather wonderful. Iain Moffat - Planet Sound, Teletext, UK.
A SUPER cool pop album...classic sound...airplay guaranteed. Lord Litter, Radio Marabu

We love "It's A Long Time From A To B"!
author: cloud nine and cloud sevenInternet Music Radio, "Gone Fishing for Blue Skies", loves the world of Paul Fisher and the Magic Stairs. Personal favorite, "You Don't Scare Me (You're Part of Me)".
from mother nature`s son to motherless child
author: bestpoetintheworldFrom its opening suite of 3 Beatlesque songs building to this incredible happiness bursting through on the The Lover In Me moving through a philosophical meditation and acceptance of death (I`m not scared, you`re part of me") to the album`s heartbreaking standout The Former Ice-Queen (imagine Pasolini`s heartbreaking tonal hymn Motherless Child soundtracking real-life villagers acting Jesus and the Angels as we somehow try to gather in all the leaves falling from the trees...then through its closing (mainly acoustic) songs bringing forth short playlets to broken dreams and friendships. This album throws in its coin and makes wishes in fountains.
