Guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Paul Casey unravels modern guitar with upbeat grooves and samples, while never straying from old-style rhythms and sounds.
He displays a command of slide guitar styles that range from from early rock & roll to jazz. Guitarists such as Ry Cooder, the late Rory Gallagher and Eric Clapton have all had a strong influence on Casey's slide guitar playing along with the likes of Keith Richards and JJ Cale. And it is exactly this unique guitar playing that defines Paul Casey.
Performances in the US at venues such as the Living Room (NYC), IOTA (Arlington, VA) and Star Hill Music Hall (Charlottesville, VA) have caused quite a stir Stateside. Often compared to Ben Harper, Paul Casey is an old-style slide guitarist. In November 2004, he will play in the Ambassador, Dublin as special guest of Australia's critically acclaimed, multi-platinum selling John Butler Trio.

How refreshing to hear pure clean sounds from a young artist. The music is original, well balanced and completely infectious. A big big name for the future.
A diamond in the rough, a great find.

The arrangements make sense and the melodies are infectious, most of which stay with you long after the CD has stopped. It's a great album, from beginning to end, and I highly recommend it.
