Emotionally direct and honest - from the quite voice with guitar lament about his deceased brother to the raptuous love infused choir driven "Waking Up To Love" - the huge rock sound of "I Believe I Found It" to the Fela meets James Brown groove of "Take A Breath", this album is a sonic journey for all listeners.

We didn't get to hear Baker's unique artistic voice during the dues-paying years of launching numerous other Bay Area bands to major label signings (writing & arrangment for Durham, etc.), but the cat is out of the bag. Baker can jump between genres like a banshee, one minute rocking your head off, the next, tearing up tears, swinging the soul through a spectacular range of emotions. You'd swear cut #3 is the best, then #7 shines, #1 soars, #9 sweetens the day, etc. (all have become my favorites!!). This is glorious music sailing forth, fresh air and majesty, a gift for any listener.
