Paul Alexander - bio

Paul Alexander is a psychotherapist, singer/songwriter, and recording artist who has shared his music and message at numerous conferences,
churches and bereavement support gatherings. With a special ministry to the bereaved and those who serve them Paul draws on his experience as a hospice social worker, bereavement coordinator and training in music therapy and hypnotherapy/guided imagery to assist those facing grief.
His resources , music and video have been utilized in the U.S and Canada by numerous individuals and groups, hospices, churches, funeral homes.

Paul’s music, writing and teaching comes in response to his work for over ten years with terminally ill children and their families and in his private practice as a psychotherapist..Since 1989 ,Paul has been a keynote presenter at numerous conferences for The Compassionate Friends, National Hospice Organization, National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved, Mothers Against Drunk Drivers,
National Association of Funeral Directors, Catholic Chaplains and many local and church communities. His song Light A Candle and his video Facing the Holidays Following a Loss in addition to his musical recordings are widely used for support and inspiration along with his numerous original and carefully chosen songs for the grieving heart.

Paul appeared with Cokie Roberts on the National Teleconference sponsored by the Hospice Foundation of America : Children Mourning , Mourning Children. He has sung at St. Patrick’s Cathedral for Cardinal O’Connor and the youth of the diocese as well as brought his talents to the musical stage directed by Julie Andrews. He is a published author
and is an ASCAP award winner.

His website www.griefsong.com has been a source of renewal and education for many coping with loss and those who serve them. Much of his music is utilized in memorials and rituals of remembrance .
