This album won the Flagpole Music Awards 2004 Album of the Year in Athens, Georgia. It is highlighted by fun and funky pop songs that are vintage Chris Cates who is backed up by an incredible 6 to 8 piece band.
This album is a musical worldwind jumping from funk to jazz to hilarity and heartfelt ballads.
Formed by producer and songwriter Chris Cates with legendary guitarist John Wayne Tuggle, bassist Dwayne Wallace, sax greats John Kell & Gary Hartle,drummers Dave Brockway and Seth Hendershot, Mike Elam and countless friends on everything else.
Parakeet Nelson played a truely unique brand of fun thoughtful funky music.
"Risky Biscuits" was the last album Cates released as Parakeet Nelson.

this album sounds crazy and fun.
